Access at Evergreen
The Evergreen State College is committed to:
- Providing equal access to information technology for people with disabilities
- Ensuring a coordinated process to make information technology accessible to persons with disabilities.
- Clarifying who is responsible for the tasks associated with making information technology accessible and available.
The Evergreen State College Library strives to comply with the Washington State Department of Information Services (DIS) Guidelines for accessibility to information technology, which incorporates Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and WC3 guidelines.

AT Lab, Lib 2318
The AT Lab is the central location for accessible information techologies for students with disabilities. The AT Lab currently has three Windows PC stations. Two stations are in the main room of the lab, and one is located in a separate room for quiet and privacy. Software Supported in the AT Lab:
- Kurzweil 3000 - reading and comprehension
- Jaws 9 - screen reader
- Dragon 10 - speech to text
- Zoomtext 9.1 - screen magnifier
- Inspiration 8 - concept mapping
Lab Hours and Contacts:
The AT Lab and its resources are available for use during all regular library hours. Use is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Appointments for P2P user support can be made with lab interns. To arrange for sustained education and training on the equipment, contact the Access Services office at 867-6348.
