Library Administration
Welcome From The Dean
As the dean, my job is to make your experience at the Library and Media Services at The Evergreen State College a positive and rewarding experience. On behalf of the entire staff I am proud and excited to greet you as you enter the The Library and Media Services, whether in person or via the Internet. We exist to answer questions, to gather information, and to provide knowledge services that can change lives for the better. This is a place where imagination, information, research, creativity, and knowledge come together. Like the College that we serve, the Library and Media Serivces are committed to facilitating individual learning and discovery.
Our resources are carefully selected to match institutional areas of inquiry, so users can pursue their ideas wherever they lead. Among our collections are books, journals, databases, equipment, artifacts, photographs, special collections, government documents, Web-based pathfinders and search tools... but our most valuable resources are our people. Library faculty and staff can help you make the best use of all of these resources. When you come to the Library and Media Services, please feel free to speak to us about what we can do to make you more effective in using our resources. I invite you to contact me personally if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or observations. This is your Library and Media Services. Welcome to its possibilities.
