Manage Your Citations and Web Resources
Zotero is an open access bibliographic management application that enables researchers to manage bibliographic information. Zotero is a Firefox Add-On and works with the Firefox browser only.
Zotero allows researchers to automatically save citations (to journal articles, books, etc) from many databases and often from Web sites as well. It allows the user to select citations to publish as a bibliography, using many standard bibliographic forms (MLA, APA, Chicago, and many more). Zotero is particularly good at capturing citation data from web pages, and also allows easy archiving of web page snap shots.
Installation and Use
To install Zotero, go to the Zotero at Firefox Add-Ons and follow the download instructions there. For more information on using Zotero, come by the Research Services desk, or contact Jules for an appointment.
End of Endnote
Due to budget constraints, the Library has recently dropped access and support for the commercial bibliographic manager, Endnote. If you have information in Endnote that you need to retrieve, go to the General Computing Center and ask for Endnote at the service desk. Information can be exported from Endnote into Zotero using a seat license in the Center.
